Global Supply Chain: Africa's Opportunities post COVID-19

Description: The SA Chamber together with our Strategic Member, Hogan Lovells in the UK, will be exploring the impact of the African Continental Free trade Area (AfCFTA) on Africa-wide trade and the opportunities that this agreement will offer post Covid-19.

Global supply chains have been disrupted and being heavily tested due to the global challenges posed by Covid-19 during 2020.  Going into 2021, Africa is well placed to pick up on these opportunities to bring solutions to global supply chains.

Moderated by Andrew Skipper, partner and head of the Africa practice at global law firm Hogan Lovells, Co-Chair of the UK Africa Investors Group (AIG) and Advisory Board member of SA Chamber, the panel will range from senior leaders in African trade, supply chain, logistics, funding and finance, including:

Kuseni Dlamini, Chairman of JSE-listed Aspen Pharmacare Holdings Ltd
Jean Craven, Co-founder and CEO of Barak Fund Management
Dirk van den Berg, Head of Export Finance, Southern Africa UK Export Finance
Mulalo Madula, Economist, Africa region FIC research at Standard Bank Group
