Cape Chapter Launch |

| Description: | The Cape will become the second South African Regional Chapter of the SA Chamber of Commerce in the UK, following the successful launch of the KZN chapter recently established in the province. Sanelisiwe Gantsho, already on the SA Chamber's Executive Committee, will be the new Chapter leader, and hopes that it will provide a “progressive and measurable dialogue that supports trade and investment in the new normal.” At the launch event on 1 December, in conversation with Sanelisiwe, Western Cape Premier Alan Winde will outline the regional business opportunities with the UK, with Ivan Meyer, Western Cape Agriculture Minister. Tshifhiwa Tshivhengwa the CEO of Tourism Business Council of South Africa will talk about reviving the sector in a post COVID world, and Barry Shamley, Co-Fund Manager of the Investec Global Sustainable Equity Fund and Head of ESG Investec Wealth & Investment South Africa, will speak about How South African businesses can enhance their ESG credentials and make themselves more attractive to foreign investors. The SA Chamber looks forward to growing the local chapter throughout the Cape region, which will be a place for social and business engagement that supports international trade and uplifts the lives of South Africans near and far.
