Event:

Global Business Services Investor Engagement

Description: South African Investment Engagement Session

The Department of Trade & Industry for the Republic of South Africa invites you to participate in the:

Global Business Services Investor Engagement
on the 8th October 2019
to be held at South Africa House in London

This invitation is for C-Level executives responsible for making or informing strategic sourcing decisions in organisations in the Financial Services, Energy, Legal Services, Retail, Telecommunications, Travel, Health and Education sectors that are looking to significantly reduce costs, increase productivity and improve your customer's experience of your products and services.

There is no charge to join a delegation of executives from South African companies and UK based firms offshoring work from South Africa, led by the South African Department of Trade and Industry and BPESA (the industry association for Global Business Services) in a facilitated workshop to hear case studies that highlight the offshore experience and to unpack the value realization that South African offers.

Brands such as Mastercard, Amazon, IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, Barclays, British Gas, Auto and General, JP Morgan, Citibank, Old Mutual, British Air, O2, Direct Line Group, Talk Talk, Dixons Car Phone, Virgin Atlantic, Vodafone, Hogan Lovells, Eon, Hastings Insurance, Siemens, Samsung,  amongst others deliver many of their services from South Africa.

Well Known outsourcing brands including Teleperformance, EXL, WebHelp, Capita, WNS, Startek, CCI, Merchants, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and professional service firms including PWC, Accenture, DeLoitte operate highly successful centres in the country.

One of South Africa's key advantages is the large talent pool with niche skill availability.  South Africa subscribes to Impact Sourcing and the Industry Body BPESA is a member of the GISC – Global Impact Sourcing Coalition, a collaboration between leading companies who prioritize suppliers that intentionally hire and provide career development opportunities to people from marginalized communities who otherwise would have limited prospects for formal employment.

With much in common between South Africa and the UK, a long standing cultural connection, great quality skills and a really attractive cost proposition, South Africa offers UK end users and BPOs the opportunity to drastically reduce costs without any disruption to the quality of service delivered to their clients or internal customers.

The workshop session will be a facilitated and interactive session using case studies and group discussion to identify the challenges experienced by businesses in the UK and to present various opportunities that South Africa could offer in addressing these challenges.
