Event:

The Real World of 2020 and the Possible Risks Arising in 2021

Description: A Worshipful Company of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators Professional Networking Event

The year of 2020 has closed with mixed feelings all round; a year of blessings, a year of opportunities gained, or one where some struggled to make decisions in the unknown environment or even retreated from engaging.

• What has this done to Leadership?
• How has this impacted the Board dynamics?
• What are the emerging and hidden risks?
• How do we find a 'win win' in 2021?

From the benefits of all feeling equal on a video conference, to others who are traumatised by having to engage online. Some people think quickly and have the gift of the gab, while others have reduced social engagement and are working in their "bubble" (sorry for the COVID pun!) and there is no oversight of work, risks or well-being.

The climate is benefitting, governments are cash strapped and others are paralysed, making the right decision is impossible, we reach a greater audience, we have more working hours, less wasted commuting time. We also cannot find a solution through spontaneous conversation, we don't solve the world at coffee urn conversations and we lockdown with just our own viewpoint. Brainstorming opportunities have gone out the window and we are taking short cuts, accountability is difficult, some over work and others find the easy route out.

What is this doing to business and how will we describe what was lost and gained over these two years?

Sharon Constançon, WCCSA Court Assistant and Chairman of the Membership Committee will lead and we will have a Panel debating their experiences over the past year and focus on what they are doing to mitigate the 2021 risks:
