There are important announcements impacting heritage South Africans, those with business interests or assets in South Africa; which will be briefly covered by this update.

National Treasury and SARS has again highlighted new focus areas for High Net Worth Individuals and Expatriates, including on their South African interests. We will synoptically cover the South African Budget 2022 impacting affluent families and their business interests, note some future trends and latest SARS audit examples and areas of focus.

Also, the importance of a mover first advantage when dealing with SARS, the new process to get more than R10m personal allowance remitted abroad, strategies on breaking tax residency and retention of South African passport as well as family residency options for those considering a move back. There are also many South Africans and United Kingdom nationals looking at moving back to South Africa on a remote working basis and we will cover some key pointers hereon.
