Turning the Logistics Tanker: Transnet's Reform Plans

Last month, Peter engaged with Eskom CEO, André de Ruyter, and Head of Eskom's Just Energy Transition Office, Mandy Rambharos, in a fascinating look at Eskom's plans for a "Just Energy Transition". The "other" key area of reform for the Ramaphosa administration is the state logistics operator Transnet which, like Eskom, was a major site of state capture in recent years. We are delighted to welcome Transnet Group CEO Portia Derby to discuss Transnet's reform plans, its role in boosting South Africa's potential growth and supporting competitiveness of the economy across a range of questions.

As usual we would welcome SACC members questions during the event  put to the Group CEO and allow for a discussion of the issues that are of most concern to FDI investors and other stakeholders.

This promises to be a very interesting deep dive into a key area of potential reform and competitiveness for the South African economy.
