‘We Can’t Plant Ice – Can ESG Save The Planet?

Description: The WCCSA June 2022 Professional Networking Evening is to be held at The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists Hall. Included in the booking price will be a topical presentation, before networking with wine, soft drinks and nibbles!

Our guest speaker will be Inge Relph, Co-Founder and Executive Director of GlobalChoices and our topic will be We Can't Plant Ice - Can ESG save the planet?

To most of us environmental challenges are daunting relative to our ability to make a difference but if we each do "something", the outcome will be a journey of improvement.

Most organisations,  public or private are scrambling to come to grips with the rapidly changing world of Environmental, Social and Governance related regulation and global stakeholder expectations.  Join Inge Relph, co-Founder and Executive Director of GlobalChoices and Sharon Constancon CEO of Genius Boards, as they  explore the limits of ESG and challenge us to raise our sights beyond compliance and to rethink our roles as Global Citizens.

Inge is known for her strategic insight and bold policy innovation around global systems change to achieve the Environmental and Social Development Goals.

She was Senior Policy Advisor to ‘The Elders’, a group that included President Carter, Mary Robinson, Kofi Annan and Gro Brundtland, during the landmark SDG and COP21 negotiations and has advised the Vatican, The Commonwealth Secretariat and several governments.

With a corporate background in strategy, restructuring and marketing with Blue Chip companies like British Airways and British Gas, she went on to lead the sustainability practice of a Swiss Fintech platform that was the first to list fungible tokenised natural capital assets.

Inge is a Board member of the Responsible Finance and Investment Foundation, is on the Advisory Boards of Climate Action and Procivis Switzerland and sat on the G20 Sustainable Finance Innovation Inquiry.

Whilst on the Council of the London Chamber of Commerce she co-founded their Women’s Network, co – founded the Arab International Women’s Forum, chaired Womankind Worldwide, a global development agency, all in support of diversity and feminine leadership that works for the common good.

Her current role as co-Founder and Executive Director of GlobalChoices, a female led USA foundation, is to raise awareness of global system risks from climate change, especially the Polar Ice and to model inclusive and intergenerational governance.

She is a regular speaker on sustainable innovation and making a just and sustainable transition for a viable future.
