Event:

17th Annual Youth Day celebrations

Description: June 18th is our day to commemorate fallen heroes who paved the way and share the vibrancy of South African culture with the world.  In the traditional spirit of our Youth Day, we provide a diverse mix of international and homegrown talent, a designated area for Braai (BBQ), children and family activities

We will then close the night with our annual clubbing experience at UNIT 9 NIGHT  night club from 10pm until 4am tickets are half price at the door for the main event ticket holders.

Over the past 16 years Youth Day, the first of its kind, with the support of homegrown and local talent has been able to build a unique and diverse family day out.   This day of commemoration builds our diverse diasporic community, uniting us through our shared love of African arts, music and culture; of course, no South African event would be complete without a good braai.

For those of you who are familiar with the Willen Lake park rules and regulations, a lot has changed since COVID.  They no longer allow alcohol and open flame BBQ's at the park, however, we have managed to attain a licence that permits us to serve alcohol and BBQ in a designated area.  Please note that any BBQ equipment brought into the park MUST stand a minimum of 2 feet above the ground.  This will be strictly adhered to on the day.

Due to the new regulations patrons are not permitted to bring alcohol onto the event site.  A cashless bar will be provided.  Any alcohol found will be confiscated by the park security with no guarantee for return.
