2023 Annual Gala Dinner

Description: This will be our second Gala Dinner at the iconic Mansion House, the official residence of the Mayor of the City of London, situated at the very heart of the City, replete with gilt-topped stone columns, marble statues and exquisite art. The dinner will be held in the light and airy Egyptian Hall, under its amazing vaulted ceiling.

The Gala Dinner is the Chamber’s premiere event in our calendar, and provides a wonderful opportunity to network with peers, business associates and friends, meet members of the Chamber, Executive, Board and Advisory Board at a highly prestigious venue, while enjoying the finest foods and wines. The Lord Mayor and his Sheriffs will also be represented as we welcome in the Spring with this Black-Tie dinner.

You will also be entertained by live performances from first-class singers, a traditional trumpet fanfare, and a Keynote Address.

Andrew Selous MPOur keynote speaker for the evening will be Andrew Selous MP, The Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to South Africa and Mauritius. First elected to parliament in 2001, Andrew is a former soldier in the British Army, former Minister for Prisons under David Cameron and is Second Church Estates Commissioner.


Sir William RussellWe'll be welcomed to Mansion House on behalf of The Mayor of the City of London by Alderman Sir William Russell, who served as the 692nd Lord Mayor of the City of London from November 2019 until November 2021.

William’s mayoral theme was Global UK: Trade, Innovation and Culture, and during his mayoralty, he led the Green Horizon Summit at COP26 alongside Mark Carney, promoting the importance of Finance and the City of London to help the UK get to NetZero.
