Candice Magen, Founder and CEO of Abroadscope

The Founder and CEO of immigration consultancy Abroadscope, Candice Magen, has 18 years of experience in the industry having been employed in this space for her entire working career. Candice is not afraid of hard work; therefore it was only a natural decision for her when deciding to become a business owner in this line of business. Along with Candice’s extensive experience in the industry, comes many connections and a plethora of information shared with business owners, immigration practitioners, lawyers and consultants.

As a result of her esteemed reputation in the industry, many professionals collaborate with her and refer clients based on their needs and firm’s specialties. Candice is a highly motivated, straight-talking individual who seeks a solution for any problem presented to her as she aspires to fulfill the motto of Abroadscope “Miracles are immediate, the impossible may take a bit longer.” Candice is a proud wife and mom to two children.

Nick Sachs, COO of Tapio Capital & CodingIT

Nick Sachs is the COO of Tapio Capital (a venture builder) and CodingIT Limited (technology development services), which have operations in both the UK and South Africa. He is a qualified CA(SA), who moved to the UK in 2017 whilst working for BDO, managing the finance functions for start-ups and SMEs.  Nick’s last position was at an ESG start-up, Omnevue, where he was the first employee and Director of Audit and Finance, before starting his own company. He is passionate about venture capital and bridging the gap between the UK and South Africa.

He is currently also the Chair of the South African Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals chapter in London.

Angel Jones, CEO HomecomingEx

In London in the late 90’s Angel heard Mandela speak at Trafalgar Square, “I love you all so much.  I want to put you in my pocket and take you home”. This inspired her to return home and in 2003 she founded Homecoming Revolution (founding sponsor was FNB ) which encouraged Africans to return. In 2013 Angel turned it into a global Executive Search Firm for Africa.
Now in 2023 (on their 20th birthday) the platform has evolved into a champion for the “Virtual Brain GAIN” offering Permanent, Part-time & Hourly Executive Talent for Africa.
 
Angel obtained a double major BA: Economics & English at UCT and spent 7 years working for M&C Saatchi Advertising UK.  At the same time Angel co-founded Morrisjones Advertising where she created the kulula.com brand. Angel was a founding member of the SA Chapter of Entrepreneur’s Organisation and served on the Roedean School Board for 6 years.   Angel lives in Johannesburg and is married to Carlos Gomes.  They have an 19-year-old daughter, Lulu, and a 15-year old son, Samuel.

Krigan Naicker, MD of Big Bay Business Advisory

Over 15 years, Krigan Naicker has honed his skills and expertise in the Accounting field. He is the Managing Director of Big Bay Business Advisory (Pty) Ltd, a private practice servicing corporate and individual clients locally and abroad. The practice provides Taxation, Assurance, Fiduciary, and Advisory services.

Krigan also serves as a Technical Advisor to one of the Accounting industry bodies, representing them in technical matters dealing with SARS, the Department of Justice, and the CIPC.
