• Fostering a sense of emotional support and camaraderie

This month our guest speaker is Ntandoyenkosi Kunene, Business Development Associate, Yes4Youth and the topic for her talk is: "Beyond the Crown: Transforming Futures with Work Experience Placements"

Speaker bio:

Ntandoyenkosi Kunene (MBA) is former Miss South Africa, a dedicated advocate for women and girls’ education and a published author. During the COVID- 19 pandemic, she co-authored a children’s book “Cory In The Universe” to help young ones understand and protect themselves from the virus. Ntandoyenkosi Kunene’s dedication to education, women empowerment, and community development continues to inspire positive change, making her a valuable addition to any platform advocating for growth and progress.  She actively raises awareness on the literacy crisis in South Africa through her contribution to Leadership Magazine’s special education edition, focusing on the state of education and curriculum transformation. With a decade of community development work, Ntandoyenkosi is committed to leaving no child behind. She has designed programs to address obstacles hindering children from attending school, such as winter drives providing warm clothing and sanitary towel campaigns for underprivileged girls.

Recently, Ntandoyenkosi founded The Butterfly Evolution, a youth development organization for girls from underserved communities, aiming to develop resilient, self- reliant, and confident future leaders. The project equips girls with the tools to maximize opportunities and navigate life’s challenges.  Ntando currently serves as a Business Development Associate at YES (Youth Employment Service)  dedicated to providing valuable work experiences for South Africa’s youth.

Ntando firmly believes in creating sustainable impact with community projects, ensuring that all her programs leave lasting benefits and resources for the communities they serve.
