Women's Day Celebration: Tokenism or Triumph? Dispelling the Myth that Women Don't Reach the Top

Description:

Join the Chamber for its annual celebration of South African Women's Day. In South Africa, 9 August commemorates the 50,000-strong march of women in 1956 to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to petition against discriminatory pass laws that restricted freedom of movement and privacy. To celebrate the significant strides that have been made in female empowerment since the end of apartheid, the Chamber is hosting an evening of conversation and dialogue with high-profile women from all sectors.

Join former Chair of the SACC Mary Anne Anderson as she hosts a panel of distinguished women each forging new paths in their respective fields to celebrate South African Women’s Day.

Our panel’s discussion will be guided by the subject “Tokenism or Triumph? Dispelling the Myth that Women Don’t Reach the Top”.

The event is open to ALL Chamber members in good standing, and we welcome the participation of a vibrant audience comprised of both men and women. Join us for an unforgettable evening with these trailblazing women!
