Event:

Wealth Creator: South Africa’s DTIC Masterplans programme

Description: Join the SACC’s next webinar in its Wealth Creator series where we discuss how the social compact behind South Africa’s DTIC Masterplans program affects wealth creation in South Africa. We will explore what conditions will their implementation create for the success of innovators, entrepreneurs, and smaller actors.

Adrienne Hall, SACC’s lead on its Wealth Creator Chapter, will host a conversation between Makale Ngwenya, a Senior Researcher closely involved in the development of South Africa's DTI Masterplans programme and member of the Presidential Advisory Council on Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment, and South African born writer, urbanist, and curator Kelvin Campbell, the mind behind the Massive Small movement, how to create social change in small steps.

South Africa’s DTI Masterplans programme is rolling out across various sectors to re-industrialise the country.  The Masterplan process offers a platform for social partners from every link in the value chain – manufacturers, growers, retailers, and workers – to co-create policy solutions and drive wealth creation.  While bringing major players together to innovate policy solutions.

How South Africa creates conditions for Wealth generation viewed from two different perspectives, promises an enriching insight into solutions so desperately needed to alleviate poverty and promote economic recovery.
