The launch of UJ's UK Chapter reflects the expanding network of their Alumni chapters, which include Gauteng, USA, Zimbabwe, Western Cape and Ghana. The launch is to celebrate the esteemed alumni and establish new networks in partnership with the University of Johannesburg, South African Chamber of Commerce UK and the British Chamber of Business in South Africa. Speaker: Professor Letlhokwa Mpedi, Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Johannesburg (UJ) Before his current position as Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Professor Mpedi served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Academic and Executive Dean (Faculty of Law) at the University of Johannesburg. Professor Mpedi has published widely on social security and labour law in South Africa, Southern Africa, and Anglophone Africa. His most recent publications include a co-authored book Labour Law in Ghana (2022). He twice received the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) award for purposes of researching in Germany for an LLM dissertation and LLD thesis, respectively.
