| Description: | Join Liz Lugt, founding member of Blue Acorns, as she offers advice on how to build a healthy and sustainable business.  Liz grew up and was educated in South Africa, and still considers herself to be proudly South African. About 14 years ago she qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte and spent the next 8 years working in finance in the US and then here in London for Deloitte, Disney and Virgin. Since 2008, Liz has been running her own business doing what she loves which is to inspire and empower individuals and organisations to achieve their potential. She gives talks and runs workshops on leadership and organisational health and offers one-to-one and small group business mentoring. Liz is also a founding member of Blue Acorns which offers HR, Legal, Finance and Marketing services to SME’s as well as accessible training and mentoring via their Bitesize Business School. Liz is also passionate about social transformation in Africa. Currently she serves as a director of the UK arm of a South African-based charity, the Thembalitsha Foundation, which exists to provide healthcare, education and training to those living in extreme poverty in South Africa. When delivering her talks, Liz draws from her own career and life experience as a professional in the Corporate sector, a businesswoman and entrepreneur, a leader and contributor to human welfare.  What's great about working with other South Africans?
