Sharon Constançon, Chairman of the SA Chamber of Commerce UK, members, colleagues, and friends will be participating in the virtual TCS London Marathon, on 2 October, 2022, to raise funds for Breadline Africa.

It would be fantastic to have as many people as possible from the SA Chamber of Commerce UK participating in the event, taking photos and video footage of your time out there. The virtual London Marathon gives you the freedom to choose how you take on the challenge – whether that be in in your running or walking togs or fancy dress, on your own or with friends, on holiday or from home.

We are asking SA Chambers, around the world, if they would like to take part to join us in raising vital funds for a worthy cause.

The virtual TCS London Marathon gives you the choice to run or walk the 26.2 miles (42.2km) your way, on the route of your choice, at any time from 00:00 to 23:59:59 BST on Sunday 2 October 2022 – the same day as the in regular main London event through the City streets. There is even the option to take part on a different day if you are unable to run on the Sunday for religious reasons.

You can do it in stages or all at once – even on a treadmill! – it’s up to you! NO WHEELS though!

The tickets cost £28.00.

Our objective is to have a minimum of someone on each continent, walking or running, for Breadline.

We have only 10 tickets so please advise your interest as soon as you can, to be the first on your continent to secure your ticket and to raise what you can – the pennies add up!

The ticket price is the same whether for Breadline or for one of the other defined charities. Any tickets bought direct, can still form part of the SA Global Team.  You can join our Strava at no extra cost to see how many miles South Africans can walk in the day globally – to set up the challenge for next year.

Please advise if you would like to join our team. If you are interested in joining our team and taking part in raising funds for Breadline Africa, please contact Annette Christie at [email protected]
