About Lisa MacLeod:

Lisa manages the staffing, strategic planning and budgetary functions for the Financial Times’ editorial department globally. MacLeod joined the FT in 2003 during which time she has worked on various strategic newsroom integration and reorganisation projects. Prior to becoming managing editor, she was chief production editor, running the editorial development, support and training functions of the FT as well as overseeing the daily publishing requirements of both the website and newspaper. MacLeod was also a production editor and a commissioning editor on the special reports sections.

Before joining the FT, MacLeod was managing editor at Business Day in Johannesburg, a newspaper operated by BDFM and part-owned by Pearson, the FT’s holding company. During her tenure at Business Day, which she first joined in 1995, she was also news editor, night editor and chief subeditor. Prior to that she worked at the Daily Dispatch, SA, as a local government reporter and features writer.
