The Chamber was invited to celebrate the contribution of the Creative Industries at a Creative Britain event at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in conjunction with UKTI. The British High Commissioner to South Africa, Judith McGregor, attended with approximately 500 other guests representing British companies and foreign embassies.

The evening was a celebration of the Creative Industries in Britain, which generate £71 billion per annum and employ 1.6 million people. New Culture Secretary, Sajid Javid, opened the evening along with Tim Davie, CEO of BBC Worldwide and Co- Chairman of the Sector Advisory Group for the Creative Industries. Javid reaffirmed the Government’s intention to assist business by promoting investment opportunities on an international platform.
