The SA Chamber of Commerce was pleased to provide a platform for Board Members to meet with Mac Maharaj on Friday 28 November. 

Mr Maharaj, currently the official spokesperson to the President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma, was in London in his personal capacity to attend the 20th anniversary dinner of Action for South Africa (ACTSA), the successor to the anti-apartheid movement. 

Board members and other senior business leaders from the South African community met with Mr Maharaj to discuss the current investment climate in South Africa and prospects for the country’s prosperity. All parties enjoyed a toughtful discussion on current challenges and opportunities faced by both South African business and the Government, and made suggestions as to how these issues could be overcome. 

The roundtable was part of the Board Member events programme, whereby the Chamber facilitates access for its Board Members to high-level decision-makers and other digntaries.
