Aligning the words of Cyril Ramaphosa – #sendme, the SA Chamber unites for the benefit of members, our community, the joy of giving back here and in South Africa whilst elevating ourselves in the business community.

The Chamber and the Team are on a high after an amazing evening on 16th May.  To those who were there – 200 odd of you will have received my post event thank you where I referred to the “heart-warming words of our new High Commissioner, Tembi Tambo, who called on all of us to be South Africans first, respect our history and to move forward as one nation divided by nothing.  She defined the importance of those of us abroad being united and to continue to give back to the land we all love.” As the Honorary President of the Chamber she encapsulated the work of the Chamber – to bring value to a wide range of member groups who will gain in different ways through the Chamber – also being there to support one another.
At the Awards evening, we had a wide range of members, “friends” and guests who all brought a depth of colour, culture and character
(oh, and the noise !!) to a wonderful evening together.

As the Chairman, I would like to take this opportunity to encourage all our friends, guests and friends that members have not yet have introduced to the Chamber, to consider getting more involved in our vibrant community that is geared to business support, personal and business networking and most importantly, a place to learn and grow.  Our sponsorship program is now aligned to mentoring during the year bringing measurable value to all parties.

As mentioned at the Awards evening, the Chamber has seen good growth this past year, our event attendance is up 50 to 70% on last year and the variety of events has increased from about 8/10 a year to now 3 or 4 a month giving us an annualised total of 40 to 50 events a year.

We have something for everyone from casual get-togethers, focus group debates, roundtable breakfasts, panel debates, presentations, black tie dinner, Awards evening, summer and winter drinks – that brings to mind that we have a very special treat this year for the Summer Drinks.  The cocktail evening will be held in July and the date and venue will be announced soon (pray for good weather).

Being a member will give you priority to attend limited capacity events, all events are free with exception of the black tie and awards evenings, so your membership pays for itself after attending 9 of our near 50 events; a bargain investment in your growth, business network and support infrastructure.

Membership can be paid annually or monthly so easy for all to manage.  Personal membership at £190 plus VAT – £228 and can be registered easily via the website.   If simpler – email Ziyanda and she will liaise with you as to the easiest way for you process your membership.
